How do you feel about being perfectly imperfect? Letting things unfold on their own? And embrace doing something just because you enjoy it?
Learning to tune our attentions back into doing the thing because it feels good, means we're already winning. If it feels good, surely that feeling beats any idealism we've made up?
Is there a new skill you would like to learn?
Pick up a paint brush with no vision in mind?
Fully let go in your next movement class?
This week I invite you to do something that challenges you to feel comfortable being uncomfortable. And embrace your beautiful imperfections.
Here are some journal prompts to release the fear of perfectionism:
Life is about how it feels not about how it looks. What would you like your day, week, month to feel like?
How would you feel if you removed your perfectionism shield?
What one thing can I do today to feel the way I want to feel?
What lights me up? How can you incorporate more of these activities into your life?
What have I held myself back from trying and why? If the fear or expectation wasn't present how does that make me feel?
How can you enjoy the process or experience rather than focusing only on the outcome?
Affirmation for today:
I am a perfectly imperfect warrior!
